Doris Banham Dog Rescue are so proud and privileged to be presented their cheque for £25,000 on the site of their brand new kennel block - a dream that the Jean Sainsbury Animal Welfare Trust has made come true by awarding us their 40th Anniversary Special Project Award. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and the hearts of all the dogs in our care.
As we struggle to cope with the present national animal welfare crisis, the donation of this kennel block at our main kennels by the Jean Sainsbury Animal Welfare Trust is a real Godsend. During this crisis we have had to take an increased number of emergency boarding kennels in order to save dogs' lives when our main kennels are full which has placed us under enormous financial pressure. We were 'the last chance to live' for these dogs who would all have died if we had not taken extra kennels. This block will allow us to move 10 dogs at a time out of emergency boarding to our main kennels for rehoming thus allowing us to reduce costs and increase our rehoming rate. We are so very grateful to Jean Sainsbury for giving us this amazing lifeline.

Susan has very kindly donated 7 nights boarding from her BB scratch card 🥇to one of our many dogs who’s ‘sponsorship’ has now run out and ‘their’ boarding pot is empty, so we’ve chosen Blaize who’s now covered for another 7 nights…. ♥️
Our Bonus 🎱 ball page is helping us pay a few regular bills and ultimately, hopefully, once we gain more support on there, help us keep our ‘unsponsored’ dogs safe once their 6 month boarding & training costs have been used up.

MEET TOBY - HE IS LOOKING FOR HIS ‘HAPPY EVER AFTER’ : CAN YOU LOVE HIM?
Toby is 10 years old and partially blind.
The kennel he was in wanted him out or, if not out, he would have been put to sleep - so we HAD to step in and save this poor baby.
Again, another life we had to save even though we are struggling to stay afloat.
Toby is originally from Romania.

JASPER IS LOOKING FOR A NEW LOVING HOME...

Jasper is looking for a patient adult home who will continue our training with him.
This 8 year old boy loves playing with tennis balls and knows his basic commands.
Although his confidence has increased he still needs to boost it as he can become ‘defensive nervous’.
Jasper’s special home will need to make multiple visits to the kennels to get to know him and build up a relationship of trust and confidence. Jasper will be a loving and wonderful companion. Any dog(s) in the potential adopter’s household will need ‘meet and greets’ to see if a bond can be established. Jasper has not been cat tested.

‘My name is Blaze and I am 5 years old. Sadly my Mum was not well enough to look after me and she was waiting to have an operation. She was very sad when I had to leave.
I needed quite a lot of retraining but I listened and decided to be a good boy.
I love my walks and lots of fussing and playing with my toys. If you throw me a ball I will bring it back to you. My team say I am a very nice caring dog.
