❤️ 🙏🏻 KAYRA NEEDS YOUR HELP 🙏🏻❤️

We’d just been playing about with Kayra in the paddock ( pics below ) when it suddenly struck us, the similarities between her and another ABD girl called Breeze!

Kayra literally COULD be the same girl! She does the same sort of things! Kayra only seems happy when she’s back ‘home’ at the kennels because she hasn’t found her special people yet. We know they’re out there! ❤️

“The rescue of every dog is truly special, but Breeze’s story was especially touching. When the pound reached out to us about Breeze, they told us we’d need to go and get her ourselves because they weren’t able to go in with her. When we finally opened the door and stepped into the pitch-black corner, there was Breeze—terrified, angry, emaciated, and filthy, with a snapped cruciate. There she was, our amazing Breeze.

It took a lot of patience and care to help her rebuild her trust, her body, and her confidence. But with her operation done, out of pain, and lots of good food in her tummy, day by day she blossomed into the beautiful girl we knew she was inside.

Breeze definitely had her own personality! She took a shining to one of our team members Daniel, and became known as the Queen of Cottam, strutting around and ruling the roost with him. We tried to find her a new home, but Breeze had other ideas. She’d bark at all potential adopters until they went away, happily returning to her wonderful self with Daniel. We always believe dogs should choose their new families first, Breeze kept saying no—until one very special day…..

That day, her chosen owner visited her, and it was love at first sight. Breeze tried to jump into her car on the first visit, eager to go home with her forever family. And what a perfect match it was! Breeze soon had her dream home, complete with a furry friend to share her days with, and we are so grateful to her amazing owner who Breeze immediately loved and trusted, right from the start.”

📢 Breeze’s journey embodies everything our charity stands for. No dog is too damaged or too broken to give up on. With love, patience, and time, they can heal and live the happy life they’ve always deserved.

Now we need the same for our Kayra ❤️ 🙏🏻 her chosen people are out there somewhere.. She just needs to meet them! Weve been keeping her safe for such a long time….

💙Remember Freckles ? 🐾
11 years old beagle cross, his owner had died and police had taken him to the pound who could not rehome dogs of his age. He had a large lump on his back which would have deterred other rescues from taking him, But with your help we took the leap of faith and took him and had the lump removed which has thankfully turned out to be benign 🙏🏻

💙Freckles totally loves his walks.
💙He absolutely loves snuffling for food In fact he Loves food full stop! 🤣. 💙Typical beagle tendencies, likes to hold a conversation with you 🥰.
💙Loves being fussed.
💙Knows all his basic commands.
💙Because he’s food oriented, training him with food is very easy.
💙Excited initially on walks but calms down quickly and doesn't seem bothered by other dogs.
💙Hasn’t met anyone he’s not to keen on 💙

We ask potential homes to visit the kennels on several occasions to meet and bond with him
