Roxy was due to be put to sleep and We were able to rush to save her life because of you, our Army of Animal Angels ….
Roxy is a ‘big girl malamute’ she is good on the lead and likes to talk (as many Mals do!).
Roxy was taken into our care due to some food guarding issues.
💬Roxy requires a strictly adult only ‘Malamute breed savvy’ home..
‘💬Meet and greets’ with other dogs in the potential adopter’s household would need to take place to see if a bond is possible.
💬Several visits to the kennels will be required, to build up a relationship of trust and confidence with Roxy.

🆘 EMERGENCY APPEAL TO SAVE ROLO 🆘
When we rescued Rolo from the pound knowing that he was recovering with cage rest and anti-inflamatories from having lost the use of his back legs, we knew were taking a leap of faith but leaps of faith are what we do for dogs who have no-one in their corner but us.
This morning our leap of faith ran out because after having a normal night snoring in his crate in Richard’s room he could not stand. He is at the moment in the referral vets and he has likely Grade 3 Intervertebral Disc Exclusion. He needs a CCT scan to confirm and surgery. At the moment he is operable but if he gets any worse it may not be possible.
The cost of the treatment is £4,500-£5,500. He is only 3 years old and has his whole life in front of him – how can we deny him this chance.
So we need to raise the funds and we need to raise them urgently. We beg you to help us as we know that a cost like this could literally bring us to our knees but his life is precious and we have no choice.
It is our time to be brave like he is being and put compassion first and believe that with your help we can do this.

@top fans Rolo is currently undergoing surgery right now! Prayers please! We urgently need to raise funds to cover the cost of the referral vet appointment, as payment will be due upon discharge. Unfortunately, we do not have the funds readily available. Rolo is still a young boy and truly deserves someone to step up and help him. I don’t understand why more people aren’t donating 🤷🏻♀️is it bc it seems such a huge amount that’s needed ? And therefore it feels like just giving a little won’t make any difference ? Which is obviously wrong 🤗 I suppose a lot of people are either struggling - or going on holiday ? I can’t think how to help properly 😔I’ve shared a few times now. I’m sorry ❤️
I hope this is ok to say here. And I know it’s their well trained job - but I wish that vets would be more considerate over the rates they charge regarding rescue dogs 😔do they not understand the pressure that it seems all animal rescues are experiencing at this time ?? This is a horrific amount of money for Doris Banham to have to try and raise 🥺- and as has been mentioned, could end up heavily impacting the money needing to be set aside, or raised, for the other dogs already in their care !!!! My heart is breaking bc I feel so helpless over this 💔💔💔 How are rescue places, like Doris Banham, supposed to cope ??????🥺💔🥺
