He is a lovely veteran Boy: he knows his commands and loves his walks….
& yet No one wants him…
When he first arrived, Boss was uncomfortable around certain individuals, so it will take several visits for him to build trust with new people. An adult-only household is essential for Boss, so please refrain from applying if you have young children. Boss has not been tested with cats.

A little pupdate on Cathy!❣️
She’s having one to one care and she’s settling down nicely!
It hasn’t taken her long to realise she’s in safe hands with our team at Cottam. She’s obviously had a very traumatic time of late, being taken from her person and her home, but with love & compassion she’s coming on fine….
With a big THANK YOU to Sue, our Richards own Mum, for paying for Cathy’s first vet visit ( which involved her bloods being done ) because we still have a short fall on donations needed to have safely taken her on - moving a ready to home dog into emergency kennels at £10 per day without putting additional strain on our charity ….
Please, if you can, help us reach target, we literally can’t keep using donations from other pots and not replace it, we NEED to raise another £300 minimum…please HELP 💙 because EVERY LIFE COUNTS, even the veteran’s ❣️
If you’ve some pennies going spare please do help us out with Cathy’s costs as we’ve had to move a dog to EB to take her in when no one else would… 🥴

💙 She has no sponsors helping us care for her and we would be so very grateful if you could help …..
💬Nova is a Mastiff cross breed and was cared for ‘in the pound’ for a year.
💬She was used for breeding, then dumped.
💬Nova suffered from distichiasis ( double eye lashes ) and underwent ‘entropian’ eye surgery once she entered our care. Nova has recovered well from this.
💬Nova walks fine on the lead but is a strong dog so will need a strong owner.
💬She likes to bark at people and dogs but not in an aggressive way necessarily, she walks lovely and loves a fuss, she has tickle spots too
💬Nova can still present as nervous and stressed at times. She’ll need multiple visits from a potential adopter to build up a relationship of trust and confidence.
💬She requires an ‘only dog’ home and we don’t rehome with resident cats
💬An ‘adult only’ home is her ideal situation, although older children in the potential adopter’s household may be fine through further discussion and planned introductions.
After a difficult ‘early life’, Nova has shown resilience and courage. She’s a really sweet girl. With a future owner who will take advice on her handling going forward and show understanding of her past, she will make a truly wonderful companion.
She loves her Cuddles and simply being next to you …..
