Bear came into our care as a terrified and disorientated pup. After being attacked by his parents at the breeders and nearly dying he has passed through 3 homes. The last being a home with 3 young children where he growled at the father on the day he arrived and the police were called and he was poled and marked for destruction at the police kennels. Having had her pups snatched away from her at only 4 weeks , she was then locked in a bathroom for 2 days crying for them and cruelly abandoned, tied up in an alley at night. We wanted to take a moment to shine a spotlight on only a couple of the absolute gents we have at the rescue right now.💙
It’s a heartbreaking reality in rescue work that the larger dogs are often the hardest to rehome. People see their size and sometimes hesitate, but we promise you, these big boys just mean there is more of them to love!
Our amazing team of volunteers make sure they get lots of walks and plenty of outdoor time. But a walk, no matter how long or how many times a day, can ever replace the warmth of a real home, a sofa to curl up next to you on, and a family of their own.
They definitely have so much love to give, and they deserve a chance to show it.
We have four absolutely brilliant lads in particular who are looking for their fresh start:
💙Aztec (Pointer Cross): A stunning boy who is as loyal as they come. He’s got that classic Pointer intelligence and a heart of absolute gold
💙Lewis (Husky Shepherd Cross): A gorgeous, striking mix who is the definition of a gentle giant. He’s got so much affection to share with the right person.
💙Gobi (Akita Staffy Cross): Don't let the mix fool you into thinking he's massive—he’s actually only about the similar size to a small Labrador! He’s a compact big boy with a massive heart, and his absolute favourite thing to do is give paw and show you how much he loves you.
💙Dally ( Dalmatian cross slightly smaller ) he’s an absolute love bug! He gets giddy trying to please you & the more he makes you laugh the harder his tail wags! He’s a gem…
All of these boys have been so patient, but they truly deserve to be in homes where they can finally settle down. If you have the space in your heart and your home for a larger dog, please consider giving one of these lads the chance they so desperately deserve.
