Chloe (2)

Chloe (a Doris Banham Dog) is a very much loved member of the family who adopted her from us 5 years ago. Sadly they now find themselves having to make the heartbreaking decision to find another home for her. Read what Chloe's mum has to say about her below.

Chloe is a five and half year old blue female Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
She has been a part of our family since she was 14 weeks old when she left the care of her mum and Doris Banham dog rescue. Chloe was born in rescue after her mum was left pregnant in the pound, and has two brothers and one sister.

Chloe is a fun and bouncy dog who loves nothing more than to be given routine, instruction and guidance. She is a fearful dog and has been since a puppy, this fear can show as reactive (mainly vocal) if not understood or checked....she will bark at lorries, tractors, large vehicles etc. She is terrified of horses! Saying this, Chloe does have the most amazing temperament, she just wants human contact and love. She lives for love and belly rubs! Oh and food!!

She is brilliant on the lead and listens and waits for instruction, but really does not enjoy walks. She much prefers a game of ball or frisbee.

When she arrived with us our children were 6&7 so she is used to children and loved them, but with her size I would suggest older or more dog savvy children.

Chloe currently lives with another dog, Marley; however over the last 7 months they have had a few scraps each one getting worse and it has become apparent they cannot share the family space anymore. This is a heart breaking decision for us. We cannot understand what has changed and have sought behavioural advice and guidance but it has become clear that it’s unfair to keep Marley and Chloe in the same home.

We feel Chloe would benefit from a ono-to-one situation with no other pets in the home. She definitely cannot live with cats or small furries as her prey drive is very high.

Chloe will come with full rescue back up from Doris Banham who will support Chloe and her new family completely.

Please, I ask only for positive or respectful comments, as this is the most heartbreaking decision we have had to make as a family.
