LUDO IS READY TO FIND HIS SPECIAL PERSON - COULD THAT BE YOU?
Ludo, now 5 years old, entered our care in May 2023. Ludo’s female alcoholic owner was abusive to her partner and sadly Ludo had to witness this abuse, being very bonded to the abused partner.
Ludo was left alone in a crate for days with no food, no water and no bed in there, whilst the owner would drink and be abusive.
Thankfully, Ludo was removed for welfare reasons, when police attended the home due to the domestic abuse. He was taken to the pound and this caused him even more anxiety, resulting in him coming out in lumps. Ludo was food aggressive too.
He desperately needed a behavioural rescue to change his life and put right the wrongs done to him. He’s progressed well since joining us, being such a good boy in following his training programme.
Ludo does not seem to mind other dogs and has shown no aggression to them whilst in the kennels. He is now ready to find his special person!
Ludo:
- Is a lovely dog who will make a loving and loyal companion with someone who will put the time in to build up a relationship of trust and confidence with him
- Would like ‘adult only’ home (although older children in the household may be possible, through discussion and introductions)
- Will need several visits to the kennels by the potential adopter so that a bond may be formed
- Loves his food! Ludo is very food orientated and will need to follow a simple routine, as he can sometimes growl when food is around
- Walks nicely on the lead
- Has not been cat tested
