FRANKIE’S TALE
Frankie came to us from the pound. They believed that he had been a dog who had lived outside. They had tried to home him twice and both times it had failed. They said he was an escapologist who could open any door or gate and would not settle in the homes.
When Frankie was in our care, after some retraining, he was the perfect contented boy, happy, never barked a lot, friendly and loving with everyone and fine with other dogs. So we tried multiple times to rehome him but each time he would play up in the house especially if left alone at all and bark incessantly. Neighbours would complain and back he would come because we provide a life-long guarantee to all our dogs to take them back into our care. Each time he came back to us he would wag his tail and trot happily into his kennel and behave perfectly.
Frankie is now an old boy of 12 years who is settled and contented with his life. He has managed chronic bronchitis which is treated with corvental and he goes into an inside kennel in the winter and if it is very hot in the summer. He has a nice life but could we make it better?
We have never stopped trying for a home for him. We have fears that it is life in the kennels that he is suited to and that by moving him we could upset him again but we feel we have to try because if there is the perfect home out there where Frankie would settle we must look for it for him.
So are you the home that would be perfect for this old boy to spend his retirement years. We would always be his backstop if it didn’t work and we would fund his veterinary needs.
If you think you might be please fill in the application form and we will get in touch with you. You could visit him and get to know him and see if you are the person he has been waiting for.
