Bert has had a difficult past, being abused by his first owner who lived with drug addiction. Bert was passed around a lot (five different homes
/ situations) before entering our care.
Unsurprisingly, Bert presented as anxious with stress related behaviours. He's come a long way since accessing a training programme in
the kennels.
Bert needs an owner who takes no nonsense! Bert is really a 'working dog' who loves to use his terrier instincts. Bert's dream is to live on a farm where he has freedom and space.
Bert :
• is nearly seven years old
• requires an 'only pet' home e.g no other dogs, cats or 'furries'
• requires an 'adult only' home
• is food aggressive, so will need a simple routine
• likes to play 'on his own terms'
• hasn't got strong recall, but this could be worked on further
• can be stubborn!
